Anything looks terrible if you compare it to an abstract utopia that only exists within the confines of your own mind.

Just look at how capitalism is characterized in the image (inequality, hierarchy, periodic crisis, war, etc..) All of these are universal constants that every system inherits, and says little about what conditions are like now, compared to other points in human history.
The last panel depicts communism as a Star-trek-esque Mary Sue-topia that has not inherited any of these things.

Do the people ITT even know what consumerism is? Most of these posts have nothing to do with the protection of the consumer.
