Why is this, why is there such an extreme lack of archaeological finds and especially written texts during this period in the Eastern Mediterranean?
I noticed it some months ago when researching information about ancient Anatolia, there is always a gap between proper Hittites that ended around 13-12 th century bc and Neo "Syrio Hittites" which were around around the 9th-7th century bc
Even when researching other civilizations around that area it's always either 13-12th century bc or 9-8th in 95% of cases, barely any finds or texts from the 11-10th centuries, the fuck?
Is this a big meemee?
