Why does society value older men more than older women?

Why do you think? Some of the most evil people in the world are older men.

Men have a greater chance to die or fuck up so it's more impressive to be a decently successful old man.

Men are more likely to go after positions of power and prestige and because of this there are more of them in these roles and can essentially function uninhibited in them until they're senile or dead, while older women are past the prime biologically and have little value on the sexual marketplace.

Aside from the fact that most positions of power are indeed held by men and therefore one could argue that on a political/corporate level there is a patriarchal dominance, I'd mostly say it's because older men can A: still reproduce B: age better in the looks department and C: tend to follow career paths that would have them wealthier than women their age

Because men in our society have to deal with shit since they are born

While men have to face it plenty of adversities in life(political,economical, housing etc...) women do not.

All a woman must do to have an above average life is go to the gym an become hot, while a man have to figure out much more

He is simply wiser, even if he failed or sucede he will have a more interesting story to tell, and if he lived to this age he must have done something right, as since the beginning of times it is uncommon man reaching that age.

I am not saying women don´t deal with shit, but they deal with shit from the society(like bonds between people, relationships etc...)

There is a bunch you can learn from both of them, but it is simply more interesting to sit and hear about WW2 in a man´s perspective then from a woman´s(of course this may vary from person to person) as it was since the beginning of times

Gym is pointless for women, all they need is the cardio and perhaps a few basic bodyweight exercises if the flab is getting out of control. This is assuming she isn't naturally shapely which is pretty common. The only problem for western women is that their value is largely decided from the very start (apperance) but that is trivial on a larger scale with their inherent value in mind (sperm exists in an almost infinite easily accessible supply while wombs take ages to do their thing). Men are born expendable which is why they fight the wars and get the dirty heavy jobs. Men have to prove their value, women do not. Western women are the most pampered beings to ever set fot on this planet, modern medicine and society have solved all and any real weaknesses women have while these women still get all the advantages of being the limiting factor in reproduction. Fortunately people are finally starting to become aware of this which is why the current iteration of feminism is in swift decline.
