This was the most interesting part of that story.

Guy says he wishes stalker would break into his house because he would kick ass. Later that night stalker breaks in kills the guy and rapes his wife.

That means the stalker was at that town meeting that night in that hall where everyone met.

Personally i think he was a cop.

At that point in time he was just raping

He killed a couple in public later, but that didn't seem to be planned (people think that one of them recognized him or something). He didn't start becoming a bona fide serial killer until he moved to SoCal

Unless you think he was the VR in which case he had already killed 1-3+ people by that point in time

Oh ok i thought he kiled that guy at the town hall meeting.

I still think he was a cop maybe the mail man or meter reader/city worker.

regardless of what he is, this guy was born to be a serial killer

Just like Michael Phelps was born to be a swimmer
>>
>>3226806
Hes definitely the most interesting American killer in my book.

Starts off as just a peeping tom, transitions into a small time burgler stealing weird shit. Nothing of real value.

He then begins raping the women in the houses he breaks into. Then he ups the anty and starts murdering the people in their houses.

Then one day just stops. Never to be heard of again.
>>
>>3226801
Looks nothing like that stupid communist

>>3226832

Who's most interesting?
>>
>>3226832
he stopped for 5 years only to do one more attack after Richard Ramirez got arrested

I wonder what he was doing during that time
>>
>>3226625
>remember everyone: he's not wearing any pants
>>
>>3226855
Ive heard speculation that he may have been in jail during that break but that doesnt make sense to me.
>>
>>3226687
He was a slippery bastard
>would stake his victim's houses out for weeks to get movement patterns
>would undo screws in their windows so he could jump in and out when needed
>if they had a dog, would wait until they were gone and give the doggo treats so it wouldn't alert anyone when he came in the night
>had a baby dick so he never actually left any DNA in the women
>tied his victims up in a knot that not many people knew
>would sometimes not wear pants to his crime scenes
>was more than once spotted walking away from a crime scene without pants/acting suspiciously on his bike, even go into a foot chase with an officer, but was never caught
>>
>>3226866
Jail, dead, or in the military is my guess
Some think he might've gotten a gf or something that let him go rough on her that might've sated his desires
>>
>>3226832
I can't get over this case

1. According to several eyewitness reports he probably took flights in between cities for the sole purpose of raping people
2. He would break into houses multiple times leading up to his attacks and stash bindings and unload guns
3. He would laugh after victims would try to unload said guns on him
4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdElYnd-xMo
5. he would stay in houses for hours. Sometimes he would even hide, wait for his victims to think it was clear and for them to free themselves from the bindings, and then burst back in for another round
6. LE didn't even connect his ONS murders to each other until the 90s. They didn't connect them to the EAR attacks until the 2000s.
>>
>>3226876
they had so many opportunities to catch him.

I honestly wonder if he was an officer
>>
>>3226879
there's also the possibility that he offended elsewhere

iirc there were quite a few attacks in Connecticut during those 5 years that were similar to the EAR-ONS MO
>>
>>3226879
>>3227125
I'm thinking of the BTK guy here.

Once the killings stopped, everyone thought he was dead, in prison, or somewhere else.

It turned out he just got promoted from a low level municipal bureaucrat to a mid level municipal bureaucrat and the rush of power he got from that was enough that he didn't need to kill any more.
>>
>>3226886
Same. I stayed up one night reading about him and watching documentarys on him.

I dont believe he found a chick who was a freak enough to satisfy him. I think the thrill of him breaking in and raping couldn't be givin to him by a willing person.

I think he died honestly.
>>
>>3227134
BTK was literally one of the biggest assholes in history, pure scum
>>
>>3227154
he did have a 5 year break tho and he (allegedly) continued harassing former victims up to the mid 2000s

he might be dead now, who knows really

I've wondered this about the Zodiac for a long time. If the crimes attributed to him were in fact done entirely by other individual and completely unrelated people and the letters the police department received were merely some from some nefarious smartass pulling pranks at an inappropriate times or a shameless journalists spinning a web of sensationalism and fantastic stories

Then again, spending as much time of 4chan as I have has led me to believe many a widely covered events were caused by nefarious Smart assess pranking at inappropriate times or shameless journalists trying to create AND cover the very same event

How do you become a successful serial killer
I know that a bike is the best getaway vehicle,3-4 am is the best time to strike and town edges are the best place to terrorise and never to return to a crime scene

>Sentenced to 16 years in prison in Ecuador on January 25, 1981. Released on August 31, 1994. Re-arrested an hour later as an illegal immigrant, and handed over to Colombian authorities who charged him with a twenty year old murder. He was found to be insane and held in a psychiatric wing of a Bogotá hospital. In 1998 he was declared sane, and released on $50 bail.

The age of serial killers is pretty much over due to advances in LE.

The only way to get away with it today is to be a cop like the LISK.

Is it really though? There are plenty of unsolved murders out there. Remember the family that got killed in Ohio last year? I think most of the decline in serial killers is for cultural reasons.

what are you on about? There's tonnes of serial killers in operation today, FBI estimates up to 50 at any one time. There's 500 dead bodies found near freeways around america associated with serial killers.

I've occasionally fantasised about the idea of some kind of modern social media serial killer. Someone like the Zodiac, but instead leaving clues on a website like 4chan and actively communicating with the public. The internet allows for a kind of anonymity that was impossible in the past.

It never really developed much beyond that original outline. It's just struck me as interesting that, while there is a substantial amount of murders and such posted online, there's never really been a serial killer of sorts. It would be a relatively easy way to get incredibly famous, as every news outlet would pick up the story.

Maybe the guy would even develop some sort of online fanbase. You could donate money to him via bitcoin or something and plenty of people would.

Setagaya Family Murders
>happy family from glorious Nippon, a nice dad, sweet mom, and two kids who are quite young
>live in house connected to grandma
>neighborhood is basically deserted because people are moving out of the area
>dad gets into a scuffle with some punk skater kids a couple of weeks before the event (this might be the key or it might be nothing, no one's sure)
>killer comes in through a window and strangles the boy
>dad hears the commotion, confronts the killer
>killer unsheathes sashimi knife and teleports behind dad
>pssh, nothin personelle... salary man
>his knife breaks when he kills the dad
>goes downstairs, gets another knife, unsheathes it and teleports behind the woman and her daughter, stabbing them both
>proceeds to spend an entire day just chilling in their house, going through their things, taking nothing valuable except underwear and jewelry and such
>eats their ice cream
>takes a dump in their toilet
>uses their computer
>goes to sleep in their house, with the bodies just laying there
>CHANGES OUT OF HIS CLOTHES AND PUTS A NEW PAIR ON, LEAVING THEM AT THE CRIME SCENE
>next morning, slips out like nothing happened
That's not even the craziest shit, check this out
>killer sustained wounds to his hands while teleporting behind the father
>a guy checks in to a hospital nearby WITHOUT GIVING HIS NAME for treatments to knife wounds on his hands
>they bandage him up and he GTFOs, they can't assemble a sketch and they never got a name

Actually 1 in 3 murders in the US go unsolved, so as long as you aren't an idiot then statistically you'll get away with it.

Most Serial Killers get stupid eventually. It's a pretty strong rush they get from what they do, so it becomes compulsive. Eventually their need to get off drives them to make stupid mistakes.

I had this wicked idea when I was watching Dog Day Afternoon. This is a movie about a bankrobbery that has gone amuck starring Al Pacino.

Now, while watching this movie I started to hatch my own little plan and was wondering if it could work.

Let's begin: First of all someone, perhaps yourself, should work at a bank. Atleast 2 people are needed to exucute this dangerous, yet rewarding, operation. The end goal is to rob the safe with a lot of money.

You start the by coming into work like usual while your friend is outside. He is skinny, but he is taking a fat suit with him. This will come in handy later during the robbery. The second thing you do is go to the toilet and make sure noone is there. You then change into your thieve clothes, but you should wear make up and other stuff that will make you look black (considering you're white). This is so you can trick the media and your coworkers into not snitching you. Next of you friend goes into the bank with a gun and puts all the people in a place where they cant open the place. Meanwhile you, covered in black, comes out of the restroom while nobody saw you. You then united with your friend and rob the safe.

Now this is where the fat suit comes into play. You and your friend go away and lock the people up. Meanwhile the media and police have gathered outside and are watching a black man (you) and a skinny man rob a bank. You then go back to the locked place where the hostages are and change from black person to your normal self. All the employees will be in shock, but they cant do anything about it. Your friend will put the fat suit on and stuff the cash in the suit too. So it will look like he is fat, but also carrying the spoils. Next you call the police and tell them you want a car and, in return, you will release 2 hostages. Maybe the police agree (doesnt really matter), then you get ready with your mate. You run out of the bank as if you were a hostage. 1/2

>>3242512
You tell the police and medical staff you're alright and want to go home as soon as possible. After a bit of talking you're free to go. Meanwhile, the hostages are locked up inside, waiting to be freed by the police. The cops and the media are looking for a skinny white dude and a black man.

At the end you will have enough time to get out of the country and move to a nice place with tons of cash and live a nice live.

Could guys like this be considered serial killers plus this is where most of the unsolved murders in America take place in ghetto areas where people wont talk to the police.

How are you supposed to name them if they aren't caught? Many killings are probably aren't even connected, hence why they may not even have a boogeyman-name.

Serial killers are still very much active, law enforcement keeps information relating to them pretty tight for a number of reasons. For one they don't want potential clues or evidence to get out that the killer could take advantage of, for two serial killers thrive on notoriety, for three they don't want panic to set in, for four there's a lot of unsolved murders happening every year but it isn't readily apparent in most cases that some could be related to each other.

To answer your question, here's a notable one:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_Island_serial_killer

Ironic thing about that one is we might not even know about them at all if it weren't for a search for a missing hooker that was eventually found and determined to have died accidentally, not far from all the other remains.
