Crassus lived about 1500 years before the Empire fell. I'm not sure his failure with the Parthians had anything to do with it. Heck, he lived 50 years before it was even founded.
Though it is interesting to think that maybe if Rome had conquered Parthia at an earlier stage they could've dealt with the Arabs better.
