Has anyone bought any artifacts or coins online? (please no Ebay buyers) I know most of you can't afford the big bucks stuff I'm talking about small statues, pendants, and jewelry that usually cost less than $1000. I've been thinking of getting a Roman coin that was made into a necklace back then, the idea of wearing or owning something so old makes me go crazy. I even found dealers selling beautiful greek pottery for prices much lower than I expected

I usually buy from here
they've got a lifetime guarantee on all their items so if its fake you can send it back for free
I'd avoid ebay, lot of fakes, even from reputable sellers

Just a fair warning, roman antiques without proper papers can get you into deep shit, depending where you are.

though Ebay is fine if the coin is in one of those NGC cases

oh yeah I know about this, that's why I decided to buy from the more expensive dealers because they have all the papers and history

I buy some minor things from ebay.....(i know i know beware of fakes)Roman coins ,rings and small bronze age weapons i generally dont spend over £30 on items so if they are indeed fake im not too upset as it was a fair price for a reproduction just mad others are being deceived.
recently I got myself a nice set of rings but im a little suspicious of them...seller was from Austria but package came from Russia furthermore the bronze patinas seem a little too well cleaned...
i'll post later if anyone's interested would like to hear some second opinions
