Anyone here knowledgeable on medieval crafts guilds? Let's say hypothetically I wanted to start a modern day guild for meme-production. What are some essential elements of medieval craftsmen guilds that I would need to incorporate and how would they fit into a meme guild? Obviously we'd have to stick to traditional platforms like photoshop and ms-paint (only proven initiates can use paint?), but what are some interesting aspects of guilds that I should know about? also the idea of a meme-craft guild is my intellectual property now, pls no steal

Take a look at some modern day skilled trade unions. Many still use the guild system of apprentice, journeyman, and master craftsman. Check out the IBEW, the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, as a starting point.
