no
japan was already losing in a land war with china, they would probably get btfo by the siberian army alone. if japan wasn't in a land war that's a different story, even then nips would probably starve in siberia

The Soviets certainly thought so. They kept relatively large numbers of soldiers in the east until Richard Sorge confirmed that the Japanese were going to attack America and not the USSR. Only then did they move large numbers of soldiers from Siberia to the Moscow area.
>>
Yes. Forcing the Soviets in a two front war would've been a guaranteed victory for the Axis.

However, America didn't want that because if the Soviets lost, then they couldn't repay the Americans for the Lend Lease Act.

Japan went for the allied colonies and their resources. It was under embargo and they had a severe shortage of resources, that despite the popular belief, were not located in abundance in wasteland Siberia. Secondly, the USSR always held strong forces in the far east, even during the fiercest battles in the west the USSR maintained a large armed presence. Coupling that with the fact that Japan was involved in several border "skirmishes" (large battles in truth) where they got their nose bloodied by the Soviets.

Lastly, the army was already involved in a major land war in Asia sapping its resources.

This leaves you with a massive navy that doesn't have much to do and lightly defended colonies of European powers (especially the Dutch East Indies) rich in oil and rubber. There's also something to be said for the inter-branch rivalry, namely the army vs the navy and their ideas to the future of Japan.

Tried keeping it brief.

Rlly makes u think, she was probably a j*p or kr*ut sympathizer too

There was some Red Army officer who wrote in his diary in mid or late 1941 that "if Japan attacks us our cause is hopeless" or something to that effect. Unfortunately google is not being very helpful about this.
>>
I wouldn't imagine Japan would make much of a difference to the Soviets because there's nothing to actually conquer, no supply lines, hundreds of miles of nothing to make it not worth it, unless manpower was that significant.
The big problem is if WW2 goes the same way minus America helping the allies steamroll into Germany before the Soviets could turn more land into their tyrannical shitfest.

She voted against entering the first world war too. She stuck to the pre-WW1 US doctrine that America keeps out of the affairs of the rest of the world.

This is also a Myth

They were transporting divisions to the west before Richard Sorge passed the information on and barely any siberian divisions even participated in the defense of Moscow.

What a stupid woman. I'm not one of those neocon fuckers but our entrance into WWI and WWII were completely justifiable. Idiots.
