Who doesn't go to war? People who are (or feel like they are) living comfortable, meaningful lives. Physical comfort, financial security, social contacts, a (harmless) pursuit that provides a sense of self worth and purpose, if people have these things they are significantly less likely to fall for stupid ideology or have uncontrollable outbursts of violence. The failure to achieve these things is the perpetual tragedy that is human civilisation.

When there is enough of every kind of resource and unlimited and EASY access to those resources so that everyone can live without the need to bother anyone else. IE utopia, IE never gonna happen. Even if there were enough resources to go around, if it is easier for one group to get them, then the other groups will want to take their place or force them to work for them.
