They were originally Africans who formed their own direct democratic societies and brought stability to the slavs of the Black Sea region. Eventually russians and ukrainians started to kill these noble African warriors and started to assimilate them. It wasn't long until these original Cossacks were completely forgotten due to a white supremacist historical revision of Cossacks being russians.
