How can you justify something like this?
Might makes right

They lost so they don't have a choice in the matter. Woe be to the conquered.
>>3200442
the hungarians had it coming, and you literally cannot prove me wrong
>>3200466
These territories were part of the Hungarian Kingdom for 1,000 years. The allies destroyed an ancient state that for a thousand years had been held together under the legal and patriotic symbol of the Crown of St. Stephen.
>>3200442
You can't
>>3200442
Hungarians opressed ethnic minorities living there
>>3200479
>These territories were part of the Hungarian Kingdom for 1,000 years
and people in them were sick and tired of that shit because Hungols started to try and forcefully turn everyone into a Hungol in an autistic fit of impotent rage a wee bit too late.
Trianon was never an action of altruism, it a was a dilution of a threat, but it achieved a humanitarian goal it didn't even intend.
Fuck kingdoms and empires.

Do it again mon Empeurer

I hope this ensures replies desu
>>3200479
And it was the fault of the Hungarians for letting their territory go due to their stupidity
>>3200457
>Might makes right
>>3200660
He's not wrong.
"Justifications" are only relevant to people who choose not to understand one simple thing: people with power can and will fuck you up if you have something they want.
This world is still a jungle, I dont give a damn how "civilized" we pretend to be.
>>3200559
>when you mimick Hannibal and Alexander that much but still lose
>>3200660
That's literally a central tenant of national socialist ideology though
>>3200479
>These territories were part of the Hungarian Kingdom for 1,000 years
This is a blatantly false statement. Before 1867 the Kingdom of Croatia and Principality of Transylvania had been separate Habsburg dominions for centuries.
After the Ottoman conquest 1526 the Hungarian Kingdom was broken up and some were occupied by the Habsburgs, others became independent and the central part became a pashaluk. Medieval Hungary itself wasn't a national Magyar state but a multi-ethnic feudal state.
Even with all the biased exaggeration I still can't understand how people can claim this with a straight face.
Vae victis.
>>3200442
Nationalism?
>>3200442
Pretty easy
The hungarians were a minority in all of these regions.
The hungarians oppressed the local populations for centuries
Justice well served imho
>>3200479
And it gave freedom to the myriad of states and millions of people who had been living in a foreign nation for 1,000 years
The same way I can justify this.
>>3200686
>central tenant of national socialist ideology though
It's central tenant of many things, sometimes more exploited stated than others.
The Normans, for example, had a strong tradition that said you had right to territories earned by conquest which led to problems later in England when local nobels would wage privite wars and the king would try to make peace.
>>3200525
Not really.
t. Slovak
>>3200442
What happened happened and unless a Magyar nationalist secretely invents a time machine or another world war breaks out, it's gonna stay that way.
BUT Jesus Trianon was harsh, I don't know what the Germans were whinging about, at least they kept the majority of their clay, this thing was just brutal.
>>3200995
Communist autism.
There was literally no reason to give Ukraine, Belarus or any of central Asia their own republics. When it all came tumbling down, only the Baltics and maybe Armenia would have left. Guaranteed.
People who think trianon was justified, how do you justify szekelyland belonging to romania? It is an area with a hungarian majority
>>3200442
only thing wrong about Trianon was not expelling all the hunglol scum to hungary
Transleithania would've been too strong united. It's economy was good. It's one geographical region. The only problem was being centered around Hungarians. Something like Switzerland would've worked.

>>3201169
And yet it's like 0.6% of the population or something. Why would you make it an enclave?
>>3201275
They're 2/3rd of the population there
>>3201169
"Szekelyland" is a modern day invention
We cant keep partitioning historical provinces just so it could satisfy a minority's desire for independence
What's next? My village becomes an independent nation? Why not my house?
>>3200975
>gave freedom to the myriad of states
>Yugoslavia
>Romania
>Czechoslovakia
>>3200442
Sure doesn't feel nice when it happens to you instead of someone else huh.
>>3200442
>How can you justify something like this?
let's make that country an islamic state, eventhough the majority of the country is inhabited by orthodox christians (blue)
>>3201656
Ignoring the fact that Bosnia could've been divided, muslims were a majority in 1991.
The H*ngarians ruined any chance of reforming the Dual Monarchy.
