High IQ is becoming less common
From around the time of 100,000 bp, IQ was on a steep exponential rise because of a naturally arising complex society. Society of prehistoric people depended on rapid invention, experimentation, and transmission of knowledge. (there is a lot more to this)
High IQ density began to diminish with the rise of permanent settlements and civilization. Society no longer needed every member to be a competent survivor, problem solver, provider, and teacher.
High IQ may have officially began to become less common during and after the Bronze Age collapse.
IQ was a steep rise and now it's in a slow decrease.
Genetic entropy won't really allow "high iq" genetics to be lost, they'll just appear less frequently.
