I always had the impression that the ancient Macedonians were white and very lighter skinned people compared to today's Macedonians and Greeks. Also we know that Ancient Macedonian phalanghites were tall as Philip only used the tallest of Macedonians for his fighting force. Modern day Macedonians and Greeks are manlets and brownlings.

Closer to the truth is that these Bulgarians speak a form of Macedonian, and not the other way around. The modern meaning of Bulgarian was merely to denote church affiliation, just as greek was. Hence the overnight bulgarization/hellenization of the Macedonian people in the 19th century. You are obviously a foreigner to Macedonia and Ethnic Macedonians, and it's clear you have a political agenda. You won't be taken seriously as your aim is blatant.

A Tatar will tell you in Russian that he's Bulgarian. A Macedonian will tell you in Bulgarian that he isn't.

Macedonia should be its own state with its own borders and government.
