Societies that are against it (IIRC): Rural Western, Eastern European, Most Islamic ones, non-reform Jews (pesky kikes are STILL around), Various Dharmic societies.

Socities accepting/not caring (IIRC): Urbanite Anglo/Western European, Some tribal africans, Ancient Romans (as long as you are the dom), Bhuddist Asetics, Japanese.

i think by now everyone is off their tipping point, everyone is just going to split down ideological party lines.

the root issue is weather you really need to take it upon yourself to hassle another free and sovereign human being, at least in western society these sam hyde types are doing it to get a rise out of people, but presumably the evangelicals and the altrightists are looking for ways to empirically back up their gut reactions by demonizing people

as far as the middle and far east, thoses people have centuries of brutal repression baked into their societies so outright violence and murder doesn't even cross their minds as wrong, what are you going to do
