Why don't they sell gallon bottles of liquor anymore?
Because it's more profitable to sell lots of little bottles frequently, instead of a few big bottles less often? A bigger bottle is more expensive so fewer people will be able to buy it.

Because someone with a healthy mind does not drink that much liquor, he will enjoy it only on occasian and he wants to try many different things.
Only a brute would binge on a large bottle of -probably cheap- booze to get wasted, clouding his fragile mind even more.
