The Allied Expedition was such a clusterfuck. They got there and had so many conflicting orders most just gave up and sat around waiting to be evacuated

Bolsheviks were smart to leave them alone and use their presence as propaganda to paint the whites as foreign collaborators

One of the funny things about that is that one of the reasons the americans entered russia in the first place was to help the czechoslovak legion evacuate but by the time the americans got there the legion already owned half of siberia and were the ones greeting the americans in vladivostok.

So they just kinda "accomplished mission" you could say.
