How does it stack up to Nordicism and Afrocentrism? Will we see a revival within our lifetime?

By some metrics, yes, by others no. Race is funny that way, its not really set in stone.

Interesting, they have blue eyes.
Mediterraneanism, like Afrocentrism is just a reaction to Nordicism.

Somebody proposes something and people agree with it or offer a counter proposal. That's usually how things go. The difference between Mediterraneanism and Nordicism/Afrocentrism is that Mediterraneanism doesn't proposes Meds are something they aren't and is content to say the people of the Med have shared roots going back to pre-history.
if the North Africans, Levantines and Turks had managed to kick out Muslims would European identity still exist or would it be divided into Mediterranean and Nordic identities?

Well the division of Europe, Asia and Africa goes back to before Herodotus but I think Med idenity would be stronger if it wasn't for a few things: ,slam taking over Africa and West Asia, The Christianization of Northern Europe and Spain/Portugal focusing on the Atlantic instead of the Mediterranean.

it also depends on the time they would've kicked them out, if it had been in like the 13th or 14th century there would already have been a cultural shift to Central Europe, but if it had happened 500 years earlier the chain reaction would've been insane

I think we might see a New Roman Empire in the future.
