He's pretty great if you read his books rather than just watch 1 or 2 lectures and then make a dumb opinion.

Slavoj "sniffman" Zizek is just a funny, laughable character, I think even he would agree his philosophy is highly idiosyncratic and he wilfully puts humor, satire, perversion and absurdity in there precisely, in my opinon, to create this sort of "memetic" effect (like the passage regarding fistfucking in relation to Adam and Eve) that no doubt has an effect on his popularity. Making fun of his character, even of his philosophy, doesn't seem to deny the worth of either, not only that, but it seems to be the core tool of the Zizek marketing scheme.
