So is the Rohonc Codex real or is it just a hoax?
>>3129980
Real in what sense? It's untranslated so anyone who claims to know what it contains is simply a liar.
>>3130006
Real as in, is it a forgery or not? Is the text inside actually genuinely logical and not actually gibberish? Is it a true book?
>>3129980
It's either gibberish or possibly a "lost" language that died in Europe between the 16th and 19th centuries.
>>3130025
A forgery of what? No original it could be copied fro is known to exist. As to its contents, nothing is known about them since it is untranslated.
>>3130031
>died in Europe between the 16th and 19th centuries.
how the fuck would that even happen?
>>3130086
People who knew it died of old age, and their kids didn't pick it up.
>>3130120
such recent period would be awfully suspicious to leave only single intact book, don't you think?
>>3130164
You asked how a language could die out, I told you. As to your new question, no, not even a little bit. Languages die out literally all the time.
>>3130164
Not really. We don't have records of Albanian, for example, until the middle ages, and that's still a Latin-language record talking about the language. Albanian records didn't come until later.
