What kind of liberalism does american ''believe'' in? Social liberalism, classical? And so on. Because here in Europe liberalism is considered right. Why do conservatives in USA call the left liberal when republican party is pretty liberal when it comes to market and such?

liberal in the US has a very different meaning than classical liberal. basically it's just a progressive/ political left, not a coherent ideology.
Liberal in the USA means women have = rights, minorities have = rights, military that will keep the peace by being the strongest, anti-commie.
We've been liberal since the 1940s
Americans are ignorant retards

Everything is strange in America, anon.
Republican means "the Christian right-wing" there for some reason too.
"Liberalism" was adopted in the 1930s to describe FDR's New Deal programs, which were intended not just to revitalize the economy but reduce the likelihood of a communist or fascist movement gaining steam. Both parties before this had "conservative" and "progressive" wings based off their level of support for social reform and government intervention in the market.
The modern "conservative movement" in the United States dates to the 1950s, with Republicans who were dissatisfied with Eisenhower (the first Republican president after Roosevelt) accepting and even expanding the legacy of the New Deal. It was a mix of anti-communist, laissez-faire, and social conservative thought, centered around the National Review that had its test run with Barry Goldwater and had its breakout victory with Ronald Reagan, who called himself a conservative while the Democrats called themselves liberals.
