If you know in advance you are going to start a world war and won't have to pay denbts, it was actually a sound policy. Though not a miracle by any means.

Its definitely not a new concept to fund the state through war but if there was no world war, the german economy would have collapsed at some point anyways.

There is literally no way they could have kept up without a war so its only a matter of discussion on whether it is "good" to start wars of conquest for this expressed purpose.
