I've never really read Ayn Rand but what could the similarities possibly be? Kant believes you can discover the universal morality thru reason. Does Rand even believe in a universal morality? Kant also thinks that you can't know anything about objects in and of themselves, separate from sense perception. Seems like the exact opposite of "objectivism."

For the first one, yes. See, this is where Stirner smacks the shit out of Rand. Because Rand doesn't believe there's actually a rational conflict between individuals. If you're standing athwart someone better than you, you're behaving irrationally. Even if a worker might see actually better wages through a strike, or supporting an income tax, that is 'irrational' to Rand. The Native Americans, if they were rational, would have quietly self-interned themselves to reservations, if they were acting in the name of rational self-interest. Through reason we can 'objectively' know these things.
