What magic is this? Did poles make a pact with the devil or what?
>>3113856
Hygiene and closed borders.
>>3113856
Rats feared the polish warrior.
How the fuck did they reach Sardinia so fast?
>>3113856
>Be Pooland
>So filthy that not even the bubonic plague wants to go touch you
Did they fear the Slavic warrior?
>>3113856
They clean their toilets
>be Pooland
>be more advanced than one of the oldest countries in Europe
>>3113956
More like have the toilets in the first place lmao. French used to shit on the streets.
>>3113931
This is clearly signs of the first human colonies on Sardinia and that's why it seems so early. In reality, it was the first time any human lived on the island
>>3113960
Poland is the antithesis of pooland and they aren't even becoming a world power by 2020
>>3113856
>In the 1300s and 1400s, the royalty of Poland decided to allow Jews to settle in Poland in great numbers under their protection. They extended an invitation and provided Jews with certain economic benefits to entice them to come. It would be a stretch to say that the Polish royalty was pro-Jewish, because no one was, but they accepted and desired a Jewish presence.
>>3113985
Huge mistake
>>3113918
But professor shlomo Goldstein taught me Europeans didn't wash until the 19th century.
>>3113991
I actually remember reading a theory that Jewish bathing habits introduced by their immigration may have had an influence of the lower levels of Black Plague in the area of Poland; in addition to the quarantine.
>>3114014
That's about as good a theory as creationism. Jews are some of the filthiest people on earth.
Even today in that Area of Poland, Belarus and Lithunian Jews live like pigs. The President of Belarus even acknowledged it.

>>3113856
What effect did it have on Poland? Was there a Polish golden age after the black plague where hordes of Poles jjust spread in every direction?
you don't poison your own wells
>>3113856
No trade with outside countries, living in less cramped environments than the rest of Europe, and actually being clean unlike the i*alians
>>3114083
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polish_Golden_Age
No, the hordes of Europeans came to Poland during that time.
Poland had at the time a very competent CEO - King Kasimir the Great. The guy was a very methodical administrator. Most Polish cities had been renovated from the ground up during his reign - this could have helped, the whole infrastructure was brand new. He also seized with both hands the once-in-a-millennium opportunity - provided all European Jewry a (relatively) safe immigration haven. This meant medical knowledge and the health rules. It is recorded the King kept borders sealed for the Plague duration, and enforced the isolation of the towns. The guy was wildly popular and meant business - he probably was able to pull off restrictions which in other places could cause people to rebel. Also, Poland had relatively few people back then. It was actually his reign which planted the seeds of the future Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth prosperity and security - during his reign population exploded.
>>3113856
Why does it seem like Polish history just gets completely ignored until you reach WW2? And even for WW2, it is frought with memery like "they charged tanks on horses." Has the history of any other country been so disserviced?
>>3114333
German, English and Russian propaganda at work.
>>3114273
>CEO
Why this?
>>3113856
The infection was spreading primarily clockwise through sea routes and MUCH slower inland.
Meanwhile Poland's trade routes are all up north along the Vistula to the Baltic sea, the very last European sea to be reached, and the land routes close to early areas of infection are relatively isolated - from the south there are the Carpathian mountains, and from the east a rather sparsely populated steppe.
So they've had plenty of forewarning, several years' worth, more than most people. They've also happened to have one of their most competent monarchs ever in charge who was smart enough to act on that forewarning and quarantine any minor outbreaks / merchants at borders.
>>3114362
idk, English history is pretty neglected as well.
>Be England, expand, be thicc state in like Pirates of the Carribean and then ww1 and then ww2 and now this, oh and everyone hated catholics unless they were catholics
>>3114435
Krauts always hated Poles for everything.
>>3114010
Europeans didn't wash as a consequence of widespread disease. It's pointless to practice hygiene after the water isn't safe.
>>3113960
The Poles liked to take baths.
>>3114459
>Eternal Pole survival tactics against plague that baffled Frenchmen
>>3114459
Instead they figured it was more hygienic to shave their heads and wear wigs instead of washing lice out.
>>3114500
Yeah go ahead and try bathing in plagued region water. It's fine when the water is clean but once the bodies have been dumped in the rivers then it's no longer an option.
Drinking beer was the European solution to the plague problem.
>>3114537
Dude. You are supposed to boil the goddamn water before you bath in it. Japanese were horrified at European sailors stench and lice. Even shit poor peasants in Japan bathed.
>>3114555
>Boiling every last drop of bathing water.
>In countries that are cold all year around.
>Where the heating technology is behind the Romans.
Mate once Europeans discovered metal and fire we were at the industrial era and even then we only made the water clean after an English royal died.
>>3114579
Dude. Again. Even the Japanese peasants in butt fuck no where in Japan bathed. An island with very little resources. The first recorded Japanese bath house was in the 700s.
How hard was it to set up a goddamn bath house.
I guess its easier to wallow in shit and be covered in bed bugs and lice.
>>3114555
>Japanese were horrified at European sailors stench and lice.
They mostly met sailors.
Who understandably lived in shit conditions aboard their long-distance vessels.
>>3114714
The sailors were afraid to take baths least they catch the chill.
However, the first Weeboo, William Adams, learned to take baths like proper Japanese and encouraged his crew mates to do the same.
>>3114333
Why would they?
>Hey you know that there was democratic country with religious freedom back in 16thC, while we were busy doing genocides and dying by millions in religious wars? Hah jk, Eastern Europe is poor undeveloped shithole and always was. It was also always German land.
>>3114692
You can probably blame Roman-Catholicism and its prudish behavior for that one.
>>3114435
The history of England is by far the biggest book I've ever read.
>>3113960
Poles invented toilets and forks and brought them to Western Europe. Now Poles clean toilets and forks in Western Europe. History is a cruel mistress indeed
>>3113856
it was because they allowed jews to settle in their lands. the Jews repaid their hospitality with jewish sorcery to protect the land from the plague while cursing other goyim lands.
>>3113962
But you'd need at least renaisance-era technology to reach the island.
>>3113856
>poles
If you're referring to the grey area, that's actually all rightful German clay
>>3115952
this
but it wasn't some kind of witchcraft obviously, the jews were simply poisoning the christian wells
>>3114692
>Very little resources
>Currently supports a population of 127 million
>>3117072
nigga do you think Japan grows all of its own food? The reason why Japan invaded the Philippines in WW2 is that they needed the oil.
T R A D E R O U T E S
>>3114333
you have to win to write history
>>3117017
>Jews expelled from England in 1290
>Black Death ravages England in 1348
Hmmm...
>>3116904
>>3113931
They used boats ya dingus
>>3117411
Boats weren't powerful enough back then to reach it in a reasonable amount of time
