>>
Well it wasn't Italy that's for sure.
>>

>>
>>3094191
A lot like pre Roman Germany
>>

Before Latins united Italic tribes and formed a strong Latin identity and language it was very tribal like all other places at that time. The largest tribe was not Italic,it was actually Celts who lived in north and most folks in south were Greeks. So Romans came from central part from Latium.
>>
>>3094191
Sardinians were relevant for The only time in their history
>>
>>3094191
Italy as the peninsula or all of Italy?
>>
>>3094191
The Etruscans were the dominant power in Northern Italy ("Tuscan" and "Etruscan" are believed to be related words), Southern Italy was very Greek, and Sicily was partly Greek, partly Carthaginian.
>>
>>3094651

Before the Etruscans it was Proto-Italics kicking ass and killing off native languages

>The largest tribe was not Italic,it was actually Celts who lived in north
The celts in the north were most certainly not a single tribe, and I don't see how you can say there were more celts than italics overall.

>The Etruscans were the dominant power in Northern Italy
The etruscans were actually dominant in central Italy. Their occupied most of the thyrrenian coast all the way to the appennines all the way down to Campania. They had a few outposts in modern day Emilia Romagna, but they were more trade stations than anything.
Northern Italy was split east to west between venetics, cenomani (celts), boii (also celts) and ligurians.
The south was made up of bickering greeks and a few italic and preIE tribes.

Celts and Italics are the same thing.
>>
>>3094813
No, they're related branches but not the same
>>
>>3094821

There most likely was an Italo-Celtic dialect continuum as they always had tight connections.
What little is known about Ligurian suggests it shared features with both Italic and Celtic.
>>
>>3094813
Celtics and Italics are very closely related but they are about as the *same* as Indo-Iranics and Balto-Slavics are.

>>3094241
>most folks in south were Greeks
Majority of Southern Italy even back then wasn't Greek even though yes Magnisa was a thing.

Stfu stupid nigger, it was impossible for medieval regards who couldn't even read to get to Sardinia. That journey couldn't be done until the age of discovery. It would take months or even years with shitty roman ships.

Your favorite civilization is an abortion.

Ahh I remember that time. When men were all honest, hardworking, and brave. All women were loyal, loving, and caring. The word tear was synonymous with joy, for there was no other reason to cry. Not a soul went hungry, not a death premature. That was when the gods were still with us. Rome ruined everything.
>>
>>3097843
Ancients Finns carved tunnels to get there.
