Do you think language-learning as a hobby is more respectable then other /his/ hobbies like cartography and world building?
What /his/ related autism do you personally take part in?
>tfw I collect milsurp
True patrician hobby.

I spent a year and a half learning Esperanto for fun. Don't do it, it's full of white European aspies and Marxists

I like to think video games is /his/ approved because you get to LARP around as your favorite nation, i.e. make a truly holy Roman empire or remove kebabs as based serb

Traditional Archery
Fuck compound bows

But aren't compounds more compact, and better exercise? Forgive me for my ignorance, but how many different ways can you bend a stick and put string through it?

>But aren't compounds more compact
Compared to what?
A longbow, yes.
A recurve, maybe depending on it's construction.
Mind you, they are also about five times heavier than a traditional wooden bow so that is the trade off
>and better exercise?
Not necessarily. Depends on the draw weight of the bow.
Besides. Archery is not really something you should do treat as an exercise anyway. That would be like bowling to get exercise. Fifteen minutes of jogging will burn more calories than an hour of either archery or bowling
>Forgive me for my ignorance, but how many different ways can you bend a stick and put string through it?
That is very much my disdain for compound bows and the people who use them. Over reliance on crutches does not make you skilled at archery, it just makes you dependent on your equipment. I run across many a ass-hats with a tacicool compound bow complete with multiple stabilizers, counterweights, sophisticated peep sights, mechanical arrow rests, Finger release, etc. (pic related). I offer them to shoot my longbow (complete with an knock on the string and that is pretty much it) and they either cant even hit a damn target from 20 meters away or are to scared to even pick the thing up
Fuck compound bows and fuck the douchebags who use them
