I think most of the more famous politicians just need a ghostwriter to polish the stuff, but 100% of autobiographies of sport guys are not theirs.

They usually work with a ghost writer but that's no secret and honestly way better for the overal quality of the book. Exceptions are people like Churchill

Depends on if they are running again or not. They normally lie their asses off if they are still in politics. This is why The Clinton Tapes are way more interesting than My Life.
