I'm fairly certain ecological disaster will ultimately culminate in a nuclear exchange within our life time, so it doesn't matter. To be totally honest I don't see the united States surviving the next presidential election.

Increasing racial and political strife will create an extremely hostile atmosphere, similar to condition in Spain leading up to the Civil War. Most likely any large scale incidents of violence will be concentrated in the coastal cities as well as a select few other urban centers like Detroit, Houston, etc. areas where such tensions already run high. Worst case scenario, civil unrest gets so bad that the U.S. actually fragments into different nations; more pro-Union regions will refuse to acknowledge the legitimacy of the breakaway provinces and forcibly reincorporate them back into the Union (unlikely scenario). Immigration and crime will create a society that produces and innovates less and less and less, with America looking like a large copy of Brazil. Whiter areas will typically be better off and safer and richer; communities will hire private security companies to protect their neighborhoods, ala South Africa. Other areas, especially urban centers, will be populated by an impoverished, mongrelized people, while the breadbasket regions will be riddled with sporadic crime and lawlessness. People in the flyover regions will live in a more Wild West type life, where there is a presence of law, but you're on your own for the most part. Due to instability and a never ending slew of domestic problems, the U.S. is unable to perform on the international scale as it once did.

Europe will see another continental war at some point, but it's going to be far worse because it will be between its own people, probably between more than two factions, but the biggest players will be EU members and breakaway nations resisting EU (German) aggression. Russia will most likely fund the anti-EU side, at some point probably joining in directly, but since the U.S. is still fond of sticking its fat fingers in everyone's pies, it will side with the EU due to the fact that many of its bases will be located within EU nations, thereby making some U.S. based assistance impossible to avoid. The result will be a heavily pyrrhic victory for the EU, but Europe will be beyond ruined at that point, too weak to do anything beyond its borders. Totalitarian regimes will rise in order to combat the immense amount of following unrest.

Areas like Shitpostistan, New Zealand, Japan etc., will avoid large scale collapse due to the fact that they really aren't important enough to collapse. Places like these will slip into a slow decline, eventually leveling out as "not quite rich, but not 3rd world", since the rest of the world will be burning down around them, but they will at least escape large scale disaster, particularly island nations like New Zealand and the U.K. Yes I know, "le Rotherham muzzie rape land", but when shit is going down hard and heavy, an island nation is best situated to preserve itself.

Increasing ecological exploitation results in deteriorating ecosystem which manifests itself in extreme weather variances which hit poorest areas the hardest, forcing hundreds of millions of people to chose between dying in a rapidly decaying wasteland or migrating en masse to somewhere else. The civilized countries attempt to preserve their way of life by maintaining some migrants as second class citizens to fend off the other migrants. They grow increasingly dependent on these satellite peoples to maintain the integrity of their nation-states while the peoples grow ever more resentful of being marooned in a country which doesn't even pretend to care about them and nakedly exploits them. Cultural exclusion produces people exhibiting regional loyalties without any for the state that they are being paid to protect. When so much wealth has flown into the hands of mercenaries detached from the central authority, the state can no longer afford to pay for basic services as less and less wealth flows through the civilian markets, and these satellite peoples stage a hostile take-over, and fight over the spoils when the state declares bankruptcy.
