moderated nepotism is better than unmoderated

It is and it's not a bad thing as long it doesn't coast efficiency.

It has exceptions. We had a client who wrote into his Trust that none of his relatives would ever work for the company he built up. (multi-billion dollar company)

harsh
Family is held up as the most important thing in life. For those in positions to improve the lives of family members, and with seemingly little effort, it can be seen as unforgivable NOT to be nepotistic. I'd say it's a very difficult thing to stop. However....

Dayum!
Cultural nepotism is integral to strong family values and individuals' financial and occupational security regardless of socioeconomic standing. People who are against nepotism had parents who didn't love them.

Nah, my parents loved me enough to give me a great education and support which allowed me to go into a different field than their own field. What's really sick is not having a passion and just following the shekels your whole life.

Depends how loyal a family member is loyal to another. Kin is okay, but if they aren't effective or efficient enough as another person looking for a job they'll get cut.

Nepotism isn't nepotism if it doesn't coast efficiency.
The chances that someone's nephew would be the most suited person in the world/country for a job is slim however, even accounting for the concrete advantages that being the boss' nephew grants (easier to get proposals approved etc)
