first of all. the Byzantine empire had split into multiple states by this time, considering that by 1200 it only controlled slivers of the shore line outside of the Aegean barely any of Anatolia directly, and much of southern Greece was latinized.

second of all it was never called "Rome"!

third... wtf? little Armenia??? who the fuck drew this map and called that section "little Armenia?"

Forth, Antioch is independent? Why? Because a Norman still holds the head of the state and isnt currently sucking Byzantine dick? Because its not directly a crusader state under Jerusalem? Because the map Maker was a Normaboo and decided to include that one small principality instead of every other piece of property that made up the various client states of the Byzantines?
