>Europe's Last Warrior Kings
>Actor of clearly African descent as advisor to an English king in the 11th century
What pisses you off in these kinds of shows?

Just the whole dramatization of history and the deliberate omission of facts that counter the simplistic story that they're trying to tell.

This, history is such a rich source of drama, tragedy and even humor that you don't actually have to change anything.
Like, imagine the Alexiad or Secret History done up in a miniseries.

I strongly believe that a person becomes what life made out of her until a certain point in their lives, and unfortunately being a black person in 11th century <anywhere except Africa> is a seriously shitty situation. Hence there's no way a black man would be a king's advisor, because the rule system wouldn't've allowed it

Or just geography, but yeah
Bad costuming in general totally pisses me off
It is not difficult or expensive to deck someone out like a Viking, and with a lite bit of artistic license you can spice it up to make it look pretty cool
But what the fuck is this supposed to be. It's like he's wearing a wicker basket
