It was unethical, especially considering that Zimbardo was prepared to lie in order to continue the experiment,
but I really do not like the Stanford experiment more because it overextended the power of
Ethics Review Boards so even the most simple studies have become tedious to arrange.
Also, daily reminder that the Asch experiments are possibly the most elegant experiments to grace the field of Psychology.

They tried picking the most neutral people they could find, regarding emotions, intelligence, socio-economic status, etc. Most of them weren't even Stanford students.
