Was Troy really on the Iberian peninsula? Were goddess cults more widespread before 1200 BC? Has anyone else read Sora's work? I don't know much of the time period and this hypothesis seems kind of hokey.

Troy was on Anatolia
>bronze age people would not only know of a city on the iberian peninsula, but for whatever reason would launch an invasion half a continent away and would be able to supply this continental effort
>MUH EVERYTHING WAS A GODDESS UNTIL LE EBIL PATRIARCHY SEIZED POWER

EVERYTHING YOU KNOW ABOUT THE TROJAN WAR IS A LIE!!!!!
He presents an argument that there is no record of a massive war in Anatolia by the Hittites or the Egyptians. The Trojan War took place along the Atlantic coast and the city of Troy was the center of a network of pre-Celtic and Iberian cities. He suggests that the fall of Troy led a migration of Atlantic peoples into the eastern Mediterranean. The stories of the war were coopted into Greek culture and Homer simply molded features of the war to be recognizable to Greek audiences.
He also goes into detail about the geography of the Med. being incompatible with what Homer describes in the Odyssey.

I don't really have any, I wanted to spark a discussion around this as I don't know much of the time period and his position runs counter to everything I've always heard of the Trojan War. I figured some anons more educated than I could interject.
