seeing the USSR as a lumbering giant which could be tipped by dwarfs like finland and fear of bolshevik blackmail (bassarabia, carpathia, balkans was still on their menu) put them in a difficult position

you expose your back or at least your economy and focus on a long and losing battle over britain, or invade a seemingly militarily weak enemy that is isolated for the resources you lack and to put an end to the commie threat

Hitler wanted two things more than anything else: the fertile farmland of Ukraine and the oil fields of Russia. These two things were his primary motivation for invading the USSR. Controlling the fertile farmland of Ukraine would render the British blockade useless, and control the oil fields would solve the greatest problem faced by all members of the Axis, not having enough fuel to sustain a war effort. Conquering the USSR would make Germany's position phenomenally secure, with plenty of room to grow.

They did fully concentrate on them, they threw planes and ships to force an invasion, they bombarded the fuck out of London but Great Britain didn't go down, and the Germans were wasting too many resources on that war.

Look, buddy, the Germans and Italians had shit navies and they were going against the strongest naval power in the world. You can't surround the Isles when Britain controlled all the seas and pulled in resources from all their colonies.

The USSR was the largest and strongest nation in the world with the highest productivity, manpower, the most natural resources and the most stable political climate. It did nothing but keep growing, even if the Axis took Britain, Africa and the Pacific, by the time they were done the USSR would've had more manpower than all the Axis powers and the allies combined. And all the Russians had to do was defend their homeland while the wounded Axis armies had yet another land to conquer while being underfed and underfunded. In reality, the Axis never stood a chance against the USSR at it's peak. You have to remember what happened after the war, the split of Berlin the USSR adding every single Eastern European country into their sphere. The allies didn't fight the USSR because they were afraid of it. Even if they dropped an atom bomb on Moscow they couldn't stop all the Reds in the middle of Europe from conquering everything again.
