There is such a thing as Deism.

Thomas Jefferson edited his own version of the bible, which excluded all the supernatural and "because god says so" shit and just left the parts about Jesus and bros telling people how not to a cunt and be more than just an oxygen thief.

Why even get so hooked on the Jesus character in the first place? It's just roman-era political revolt revanchism mania. The roman empire is 2000 years old, it's one of the least relevant thing to base your religion on in the modern era.

One of the big reasons that Christianity is so successful is because of the character of Jesus. People who are not Christian and in fact despise Christianity still have good things to say about Jesus himself. His core message of "don't be a dick to your fellow man" is a much better one than "fuck you listen to god" Moses, or "Death to the Infidels" Muhammad.

A lot of Churches outside of Europe and the Americas don't mention the OT at all. They only introduce converts to the New Testament, because the story of Jesus is much easier to follow and understand than the old testament stories that 99.9% of people find not applicable to their live/themselves.

Like, "Moses hits a rock with a stick and makes water come out" and "Sampson gets a shave a loses his powers" vs "Jesus tells a story about how not to judge other people just from their appearance. Good people come from all walks of life and all backgrounds".

This is especially the case with Asian churches, because the Atheist/Secular educations in Asian countries makes people extremely skeptical of the supernatural.

Most modern (read: not WBC-tier crazy) churches have left most of the old testament laws. Even the Catholic Church admits that Genesis & Exodus are essentially a giant creation myth for the Jewish people that shouldn't be taken at face value.

It makes perfect sense. The only reason the OT is in the Christian Bible at all is because supposedly Jesus fulfilled a bunch of prophecies about the Messiah, a figure of importance to Jews but totally irrelevant to anyone else. It doesn't help that the prophecies he supposedly fulfilled weren't prophecies about the Messiah, and that the only four things the messiah is meant to accomplish, Jesus totally failed at. For the Jews, this is important, but for Christians the only thing that matters is the revolting doctrine of vicarious atonement for sins, a concept completely absent from Judaism anyway, and for which the supposed prophecies are totally irrelevant (since obviously no Jewish prophecy claims the Messiah will die and be raised, which is the single most important tenant of Christcucks "religion".

Jesus and the apostles quoted from the Old Testament, and aside from the creation of genesis the rest of the OT is valuable info on the Development of Gods covenant through multiple prophets which foretold of the coming of Jesus and the fulfillment of Gods covenant,

Many early forms of Christianity didn't feature it at all.

The Jewish Christianity we have is just the one that won out.
