What if Austria won the Austro-Prussian war and took over Germany?

We've gone through this a few days ago, Austria could not unify the Germans because every non-German ethnicity inside the empire was against it and it wasn't in Franz Joseph's interest to let go of the parts of the empire not part of the German confederacy and not rule over them directly.

>What if Austria won the Austro-Prussian war
Status quo, the German Confederation would continue and Germany would continue to be a bunch of statelets
>and took over Germany
The Habsburgs would never unify Germany into a single nation-state because it would mean losing their non-German territory. And none of those territories (except Bohemia) could realistically be incorporated into Germany.
Thus, the most the Habbys would get would be a political hegemony over the German statelets, at the expensive of Prussia's influence.
Another war between the two would probably happen in the future

It is doubtful that they would take over Germany. By the time of the Austro-Prussian war the dual monarchy already existed, and I highly doubt the Hungarians would be willing to let Austria annex all of Germany making Germans a massive majority across the entire empire. A more likely scenario is that Austria keeps Germany as a bunch of minor states, maybe breaking off parts of Prussia, maybe annexing old Hapsburg lands like Silesia, but keeping the vast majority of Germany independent and weak.
>Wanting to keep your Balkan trash heap over Germany
Why would you do this? Not even a Germboo but wasn't the population of Germany much larger and its economic output much higher?

false, compromise was in 1867, war in 1866
