Is this meme even true?

The former one wasn't in use in Europe and most of the Middle East anyways. Most just used regal years or the reigning monarch until some English monk decided we might as well use a standard system for all of Europe.
t. someone who lives in the 4th year of Willem-Alexander Claus George Ferdinand, Koning der Nederlanden, Prins van Oranje-Nassau, Jonkheer van Amsberg
Which would translate to the 65th year of Elizabeth II in England.
I guess you can imagine how confusing this gets in the modern world.

Were the Egyptians crucifying on ankhs?
>>2985256
What part? The ankh did get cross-ified by copts, but the christian cross as a symbol is totally unrelated to the ankh. It fucking comes from, you know, JC getting crucified.
The meanings are also idiotic: the ankh represents the act of conception, which by definition can't be a singularly sexed act since it requires both sexes. If you go by the cattle culture interpretation it derives from a bull's thoracic vertebra, so still not feminine.
It would be hilarious to see a justification of the pic's ideas on the cross' symbolism.
>feminine principals
I see the education system was already overwhelmingly feminised in ancient Egyptian times.
The ankh isn't feminine, it combines both feminine and masculine (top part is a vagina and bottom part is a penis).
The cross became a symbol because it represents the crucifixion of Jesus, and thus serves as a constant reminder of the Revelation that it is Man and not God who is responsible for violence.

good catch, lel'd
Extremely ironic considering what they did to Hatshepsut
The Ankh comes from the hieroglyphic triconsonantal ˁnḫ, which means life, which is homophonous with the word for a sandal strap. It is just a sandal strap.
