>Why the fuck is pic related so spooked by it
Personally i think it needs to eventually happen, countries fufilling the same roles as states do, but how would one go about governing such a body, and how would people prevent corruption on a literally global scale?
Also, people evidently believe in it on some level, as pretty much anything talking about Humans leaving Earth in science fiction/science fantasy has a singular body governing earth.

It will happen long after we've started colonizing other planets, only when you start to see other planets identifying themselves in terms of a planetary ethnicity will the governments of the Earth be forced to unify to represent our planet. It'll never happen before then, barring the invention of the Mind Control Lazer.

Because the systems on which the world is run are not to the benefit to humanity as a whole, but rather to an elite that regards itself as separate to the interests of the whole. Why would a global government be more capable or indeed more interested, in improving the average person's lot?

I think its inenvitable
The world will either be united (through conquest or consensus) or humans will most likely make their environment uninhabitable by warfare. Obviously unity by consensus is ideal, double obviously why the West should try to lead the way to consensus building.
Which is why the nationalist urges in the West are coming at a very bad time. China is all too eager to set up a parallel international structure to seize the initiative.

I feel like we're kind of roping ourselves into that by not allowing any one country to claim a part of space as their own. It's like no steps can be made unless we're all unified and the one world government then goes "No one else to stop me from colonizing now".

I would be in favour of one if it was pro-human.
Unfortunately the people in Bilderberg aren't.
I'm all for more coordination on an international scale, but does my neighborhood REALLY have to turn into Mogadishu over night in the process?

State is a country. France is a state. Germany is a state. De facto the United States of America is the United Countries of America. All the Murican states are suppose to be countries.
Even today we are too different from each other for a non-tyrannical world government to exist. Asians will definitely not accept it easily. You will have to kill culture and ethnicity by making everyone the same. Only then you will be able to truly achieve it. Until then we only get TPP-like shit that is trying to rule the world through economic tyranny alone.

We could do it through communism but porky (and deluded retards) wouldn't like it.
There's always the gulag though.
>>2976620
I'd sure like to see it happen in a way that isn't retarded. It's hard for me to see it happening within the next 50-75 years though.

I hope the head of that government is an A.I, I just hate it when people says A.I ruling will be the end of us (unless some fucktard decided to hack the A.I to go full Terminator on our asses).
ITT: Good goyim.
It's literally impossible to set up a global government in a way that isn't tyrannical, try to prove me wrong.

>i want to take over the world
>oy stop trying to oppose my peaceful conquest of the world
hmmm i wonder why
>>2976620
It would mean a monopoly on government, today shitty systems can see that they are shitty by looking at other system, but with only one government we run the risk to be stuck forever with one shitty system and nowhere else to go

If we could have a WU modeled after the EU then that would be great
But alas, such a society would not function when you consider the vast differences in culture, wealth, religion and intelligence between the various populations of the continents.
