Personally speaking what do believe the goal of an economic system should be? (The overriding most important goal)

Just curious does it matter whether the growth is population driven or driven by increasing wealth of individuals.

Anyone who took economics in high school would know that these are both the correct answers. Can't be one or the other.

Getting as close as possible to a perfect market by promoting competition, making it easy to join in and leave the market, regulating business policies to prevent monopolies and most importantly ensuring the workforce isn't wasted by giving nepotism and favoritism harsh punishments and spending huge amounts of money on fighting corruption.

Equality is not desirable whatsoever. What's desirable is eliminating poverty, but if poverty doesn't exist it doesn't mean people are economically equal, nor should it.
