It does not. You're talking about full-blown communism, where everyone just gets what they need, regardless of what they contribute. Incomes can still be different without social hierarchies forming because of that.

To that, many communists would answer that capitalism produces laziness through overly abundant competition and enstrangement of the workers from their product. I am critical of that notion, but I really don't think we would have millions of couch potatoes leeching off society.
