I know according to the religion no man can know the day or hour, but do you guys think shit's about to get real?

We've got an odd global political climate, popsci memers predicting we're a century or two away from essentially leaving humanity behind and becoming demigods in our own right (either through digitization or biological immortality) and seriously beginning to put humans beyond Earth.

Prophecy of the popes?
>>
Beginning, end, and time are just concepts that only exist in the mind. So no.
>>
>>2955610
Certainly the End Times have come and gone several times throughout history. Not to mention the many times it occurs within an individual.
I don't view it as a prophecy of actual events, but the allegorical way in which societies fall and are reborn.

There is no end, at least not the way it's described in 'Holy' books. All the end times prophecy is to spark fear and vitrol so that entities can be fed.

>Time is a concept that only exists in the mind
That's pretty much objectively, patently false. There's a physical scientific definition for time.

The Book of Revelation is open to extremely broad interpretation so it's hard to say what's a metaphor/allegory and what's literal.
That being said, it's rarely a bad idea to have some supplies stocked up and a gun or two.

>The Avignon Papacy was the period from 1309 to 1377 during which seven successive popes resided in Avignon (then in the Kingdom of Arles, part of the Holy Roman Empire, now in France) rather than in Rome.[1] The situation arose from the conflict between the Papacy and the French crown.

>Following the strife between Philip IV of France and Pope Boniface VIII and the death of his successor Benedict XI after only eight months in office, a deadlocked conclave finally elected Clement V, a Frenchman, as Pope in 1305. Clement declined to move to Rome, remaining in France, and in 1309, he moved his court to the papal enclave at Avignon, where it remained for the next 67 years. The absence from Rome is sometimes referred to as the "Babylonian Captivity of the Papacy".[2][3] A total of seven popes reigned at Avignon; all were French,[4][5] and they increasingly fell under the influence of the French Crown. Finally, on September 13, 1376, Gregory XI abandoned Avignon and moved his court to Rome (arriving on January 17, 1377), officially ending the Avignon Papacy.

>Despite this return, following Gregory's death on March 27, 1378, the breakdown in relations between the cardinals and Gregory's successor, Urban VI, gave rise to the Western Schism. This started a second line of Avignon popes, now regarded as illegitimate and known as antipopes. The second and final Avignon antipope, Benedict XIII, lost most of his support in 1398, including that of France; following five years of siege by the French, he fled to Perpignan on March 11, 1403. The schism ended in 1417 at the Council of Constance, after only two popes had reigned in opposition to the Papacy in Rome.[6]

What a retarded image. I can understand the white guy robbing the black man to avoid a common stereotypes but having starving fair skinned people dressed in average East African garb is retarded and the nuclear rocket looks like something out of a cartoon.
Also revelations was just an apocryphal text probably in a garbled in Greek written by an Aramaean. Churches started including it in the canon only after they realized its manipulation potential and Evangelicals want it to be true otherwise they'd have a harder time reeling in followers.

Shit's always been real. The world's gonna end in billions of years. Humanity will still probably survive for several more thousands, maybe even a million years or so, but by then we might end up being a new species.
