So he's still the greatest military leader, right?
That's not Ungern-Steinberg
>>2937953
No all the accounts of him were from biased sources with anti-Iranian sentiment.
>>2937953
Most overhyped for sure, not really the greatest, unless you mean greatest Greek or European. Even thats disputable.
In European theatre, I'd say Napoleon has lots going for him.
In Asia, there's Genghis Khan and his wardogs.
>>2937953
Nah I'd say Germanicus
>>2938242
>Steinberg
So great, you can't even defeat his name.
That's Eurocentric, anon. The greatest military leader is Hannibal of Africa.
Does China have anyone whose can be potentially called the greatest military leader?
>>2938657
We'll never know because Chinese sources are garbage
>>2938657
unironically mao zedong
>>2938704
I've heard this before, and although he did fight and win battles outnumbered like 4 to 1 I think was American-backed KMT really comparable to Hannibal against Rome?
>>2938708
the long march is easily a top 10 military achievement of all time, but it's hard to rival hannibal desu
>>2938632
Lol no

Plenty.
I was reading some Qin/Warring states period articles a bit few days ago.
Bai Qi comes to mind. Captures more than 73 cities (more than any other during his era) from six other warring states. His command killed upward of 2 M soldiers. Again, more than any.
That's just one actor from warring states period. The Three Kingdom period has quite a few too.
After that, there Emperor Taizong of Tang. Probably not so much after that because once China unified after Qin, it broke up only few times.
