Could America have won WW2 if they didn't exploit minorities?

How were they exploited? The worst thing I can think of is Japanese-Americans fighting while their families were inside internment camps.

You are aware that, even after they had been interned, many Japanese Americans enlisted to fight in Europe right? Talk about real Americans, families got interned and they still wanted to prove themselves, the 442nd Infantry Regiment was the most decorated unit to fight in Europe. Also a ton of Latinos enlisted to fight, they were lumped together with White Americans administratively so we can't be sure what the exact number was, I do know the a majority of them enlisted to fight in the Pacific. Also Natives Americans played an important role in the Pacific as code talkers.

16 million Americans served in the armed forces during WW2.

The US military during WW2 was about 7% African-American, with over 1 million serving. Black soldiers were usually cooks, truck drivers, stevedores, etc. A select few got to be combat troops, but this was a very tiny number; only 708 African-Americans were killed in action during WW2, about 0.25% of the US total. Famous African-American combat units included the Tuskegee Airmen, 761st Tank Battalion, and 452nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery Battalion. Because only the best and most motivated men got into combat roles at all, these units tended to be above-average. For example, of the 2,000 black combat troops who served in the Ardennes Offensive, 84% were ranked "very well" and 16% were ranked "fairly well". None were ranked badly. However there just weren't many of these men.

Aside from African-Americans, an estimated 500,000 Mexican-Americans served in WW2, according to the National Park Service. They made up about 3% of the US military; exact numbers are hard to find since Latinos didn't have a separate category on the census, but most of these men were almost certainly mestizos considering general demography. Then you have the American Jews; 550,000 served in WW2, nearly 3.5% of the military. Aside from those three groups were no other significant "non-white" minorities in the US military: 44,000 Native Americans, 33,000 Japanese-Americans, 20,000 Chinese-Americans, 16,000 Filipino-Americans, 15,000 Lebanese-Americans, and 65,000 Puerto Ricans served and collectively made up about 1% of the military. However there were a significant number of "white" ethnic minorities: 9% of the US population at the time was foreign-born and most of these spoke a language other than English as their first. This included 1,561,100 foreign-born native Italian speakers and 1,992,533 speakers of Slavic languages (primarily Polish). Surely a large number of native-born "white" Americans also spoke a non-English native language.

Can you define assimilate in the context of your selective images what that has to do with fighting in WW2? They did fight in the war as well and they didn't have the current welfare state at the time.
