Which gladiator 'class' was most OP?
Hello
>The Samnite gladiators were also the first of at least three gladiator classes (list of Roman gladiator types) to be based on ethnic antecedents
>Samnite gladiators appear often in Roman texts (they are the gladiators most often mentioned in Roman writings)[17] until the early Imperial period
>As the real Samnites became fully integrated into Roman society, the gladiator based upon them was retired

why the black ones of course
charioteers
Murmillosm or a retarius
Both got good armour and weps, would put money on retarius as he was dressed up like a roman, so would probs be set to win most matches in political events

Secutors were the guys meant to fight Retiarius, they wore closed helmets and more armor than usual.
In rough game terms, you can divide gladiators in three classes
DEX = no shield, no armor, specialized weapons
>Retiarius, Dimachaerus, Laqueralus, Scissor, Cestus
ATK = small shield(Parma), light armor, bigger weapons
>Thraex, Hoplomachus, Provocator
STR = big shield(scutum), heavy armor, smaller and simpler weapons
>Murmillo, Secutor, Samnite, Crupellarius

You're using the game terms wrong.
It would be DEX, STR, and STA.
DEX = based on light armor, agility, fast weapons
STR = based on high armor, strong slow weapon
STA = based on high armor, strong shield, slow
