In his theory of Marxism he has a superb grasp of the flaws of Capitalism but he tries to predict the system that will replace it (communism) but clearly he was wrong because all iterations of communism in the real world have been subject to the communal means of production actually being controlled by a small avant garde of "communist" intellectuals such as the soviets. This means that Communism isn't applicable in the modern world as the next epoch from capitalism.
In summary Marx is good at critiquing capitalism (All of his predictions have come true about wealth disparity and anyone who fully rejects Marx in that respect is a fool who thinks Marxism is taboo and belongs on /pol/) but his solution of communism is just random speculation and should not be accepted at all due to it having no empirical or historical basis other than saying that the opposite of capitalist private ownership is communal ownership which must be the future as it solves the issues of capitalism at the expense of pretty much everything else that it is built upon. No doubt something will replace the capitalist economic model in the long run (Its not the end of history just yet Francis) but it wont be communism.

TL;DR Marx is good at judging the past but bad at guessing the future. Marxism is an ok theory but communism is a shit ideology that can be judged historically.
