Stop using back scabbards

Lindy's right in that case. Back scabbards make no sense for long blades. It might work if you have a knife scabbard up by your shoulder, but anything longer and the biomechanics don't work.

>Back scabbards
Talk about strawmanning. Back scabbards were only used to transport battlefield weapons in certain areas (like east asia), not to quick draw them.
They're really not something a guy who focus on western european history should talk about. Pls post link of the video in question so I can hear what he says.
>have large sword
>not 8 foot tall so it constantly hits off the ground in my belt scabbard
wot do
>>2925685
>move the hilt more horizontally
>the sword sticks out in front and behind me
>just have to avoid spinning in circles and I can get around
>move hilt to back
>hits the top of doorways
>can't remove it quickly for combat
>people behind you can literally steal your sword and probably draw it faster than you could
>can't sit down
>can't hold the hilt and manually manoeuvre the blade around to avoid obstacles, just have to let it swing wildly on your back, hitting whatever.

Ignore all the memers, he literally says you put greatswords on your back, but for convenience, not quick drawing.
