A lot of great leaders weren't charismatic.

Thomas Jefferson was pretty autismo when he spoke
Mike "pick out decor, taste the hammer of Thor" Pence
Right now all I can think of is Hitler (depending on how you define a great leader,). Yes, he was skilled when it came to speaking in front of large crowds, but he did not know how to interact with people in smaller groups or one on one. I remember one of my professors saying he wasn't promoted while in the army because all of his superiors thought he was an awkward weirdo.

came here to post him
people focus too much on the creepy paranoid purgefest of when he was a dead inside old man. even though that was where he ended up he was one of the top tier generals in roman history before he was even emperor, mostly managed to maintain what augustus accomplished while he was alive, and left rome appreciably richer even after withdrawing.
