>inb4 communism never been tried

If it's so good why didn't they try it?
>>
>>2917506
Last time I checked a small communist state with 20 million people is a threat to the the USA

That either says how stron communism is or how weak neoliberalism is
>>
>>2917563
North Korea is a shit hole and we don't even know if their missiles work. North Korea isn't really a threat to the USA they just make a lot of noise and constantly threaten their peace-loving neighbours, who are supported by the USA.

Kerala counts right?
>invested in human resources
>has the best living conditions in india.
>major export is skilled manpower that earns money in remittances
>plenty of tourists because they didn't fuck up their state by hapazardly industrialising around cities like other major places.
>>
>>2917506

No one has tried Communism yet.

There's none. Meanwhile, awesome countries like Japan are capitalist.
>>
>>2917609
that wasn't communism since private property existed and they just sponged off the central indian government for money to spend
>>
>>2917615
Yeah because it doesn't work. Lenin realised after he came to power in Russia that he couldn't abolish private ownership because that would remove the incentive to work.

That should ring some damn alarm bells. If you can't get your "intelligence" right... You're shite. Looking at you, CIA.
>>
Define what you mean by successful OP, because the Soviet Union was arguably successful. It created nuclear weapons, put people in space, and was toe to toe with the world's most wealthy and powerful republic for at least 60 years.

That said, I don't think the Soviet Union qualifies as actual Communism, which is why they managed to compete in the first place.
>>
>>2917615
And no one will. Since we know that communism is perfection, every claim to go for it is a lie. Instead everybody who claim to be communists are demons in disguise.
>>
>>2918059
Is that nominal GDP per capita or real GDP per capita? It's easy to throw around graphs showing increasing GDP, but the thing is, if it's nominal GDP, it always tends to go up anyway.
>>
>>2918059
From 1960 to 1980, the USSR went roughly from 4000 to 6500. 2500 in 20 years is an average of 125 per year.
The USA went from 15,000 to 25,000 in the same time span. An average of 500 per year. The growth was considerably faster.
>>
Name one example of a successful purely captalist state

Oh, wait, you can't.
>>
>>2918100
When was the USSR communist?
Their whoke point was to 'build' communism. They were never communist.
>>
>>2918187
Well OP said "communist state", which it was. Everyone who operated the state were communists.
>>
>>2918168
>people absolutely have to like capitalism if they hate communism
USA is the only place in the world where capitalism is taken seriously. Even there it gets the No true capitalism scene.

Absolute monarchy, mercantilism; the tested and true system. If I had to take an innovation from their enemies, it'd be the guillotine. To every supporter of human rights. And no, this does not mean that those who respect others get killed, on the contrary.
>>
>>2918163

Soviet Union was neither socialist nor communist by 1960. After Stalin's death, it became a self-serving bureaucratic regime concerned only with maintaining bureaucrats as the ruling class.
>>
>>2918262
So communist then.
>>
>>2917506

What you'll find is, that these "people" (communists) are happy to point to the "success" of their ideology when a self-professed socialist / communist country is doing well, but then suddenly decide that they weren't REAL socialists / communists when the whole house of cards collapses. The most recent example of this is Venezuela, which socialists and commies were touting as proof of their ideologies value... right up until the country collapsed in anarchy and its economy tanked.
>>
>>2918357
wew lad, watch that blind ideology!

Also, it's much easier for a country to traverse from shit-poor to kind-of-less-shit-poor than from quite-well-off to extremely-well-off. The majority of economic growth didn't translate into individual improvement of the standard of living (wonder why....), just the financial improvement of The State (which, if you weren't an ideologue, you'd recognize as the opposite of communal wellbeing in that context).
>>
>>2917563
Juche is a weird hereditary nationalistic pseudo communism that's already starting to slip into Chinese style state capitalism
>>2918012
indeed, although i think Japan should be more worried since I would imagine Kim would be much more willing to test nukes on the hated nips instead of future conquered territory he can just (try) to rape with artillery
>>2918059
>That's why South Korea elected a pro-North president overwhelmingly, with particularly strong support from the younger generation
that's a bit simplistic, as his main image is as a anti-corruption crusader who would also help clean up the Chaebol, both of those I think were just as important against recent scandals. Plus the only way he can institute Sunshine 2.0 is if Kim stops autistically firing missiles every other week
>>
>>2918583
>watch that blind ideology!
Says the commie
>>
>>2917563
Lmao this is what communism has come down to.
>everything about communism is shit
>at least we can threaten those that are doing well with the threat of being as shit as we are
>>
USSR and PRC were/are successful.
>>
>>2918246

>mercantilism

Mercantilism in the modern world gets you into a trade war with literally the rest of the world and your economy goes to shit due to comparative advantages.
>>
>>2918649
>that's a bit simplistic, as his main image is as a anti-corruption crusader who would also help clean up the Chaebol

This. SK just impeached its president and the people are starting to rail against the enormous amounts of corruption in the government. Sure, SK's growth has been exploding for decades as a result of Corps and the gov being virtually the same entity but as growth is slowing and the private sector contracts under the weight of its rigid corporate structure the people are wanting a shift toward a more free organic market. That's what they really voted for.
>>
The more attention you give to communism, the more chance it has of succeeding. Look at Trump.

Capitalism's contradictions (loose ideals of freedom from exploitation) and antagonisms (such as class antagonism) cannot be solved by capitalism itself. The very system will breed so much resentment and destruction that workers who are at the will of and have their labor exploited by factory owners, banks, and the state will revolt and take the society for itself. Thus, revolution.
The solution to capitalism, not its alternative, is communism

Also, whenever I hear about the failure of 20th century marxist-leninism, I can't help but remember the economic disastors, war for business interests, the backing of right wing fundamentalists and dictators to preserve markets, war industry, global warming, and all the exploited and angry workers woo'd by personalities who channel their alienation as workers into more inter-class violence. Also, Flint Michigan still has no clean water.
>>
>>2917563
>north Korea
>Threat to U.S

holy shit tankies are this delusional
>>
>>2919213
>>The solution to capitalism, not its alternative, is communism

the solution to the class conflict of capitalism is automation and attrition of the working class to extinction. permanent and everlasting bourgeois dominance
>>
>>2918649
It's too bad Juche got abandoned for Songun a while ago. The development of nuclear weapons will allow military emphasis to decrease and bring back Juche, which will increase living standards and quality of life dramatically
