Dude, that's exactly what I meant from the beginning. They wanted a White State where the majority of the people in charge were Whites. Problem is they also wanted to be in charge of all that rich territory which Africans live on.

And that's the problem. They were always in charge but their country contained Africans that outnumbered 10 to 1. I think the most interesting thing about Rhodesia is how it was a microcosm of early British colonial values (from the 1800s-1940s), that lasted into the 1980s. Everywhere else in the 'empire', the ideals that were strived for in Rhodesia, but for whatever reason they survived in that one particular colony.

I feel I'm explaining this badly. It's like in 1920, Rhodesia and Britain would have had identical cultures, but Rhodesia's stayed the same, while Britains changed for whatever reason.

The biggest criticism to the race polices in Rhodesia and South Africa is them being too fucking pussy to really do it because it would hamstring them so fucking hard since now the poor whites have to fill that gap and the economic advantages they had from a base of workers with extremely low wages Imagine Black workers in the American South but reverse the population %age's. Instead of that small population of Blacks undercutting the poor white job market instead the poor whites are in a tier separate from Black in the job market because they can go for jobs reserved for whites and have more investment into them for training.

The segregation and "separate development" polices of the two states was always dishonest with itself completely because the reality of implementing completely wholeheartedly would fuck themselves over..

It kinda is. You can distinguish Brits heritage and location by looks. I know some /int/ Brit lads who basically despite being top notch lads and well off could be sniffed out that they were once poor or family in a poor area historically.
