The Norman helm is pretty boss.
>>2900497
strange that that style of helmet has grown so popular among renactors. As far as I know the only depiction of something vaguely similar is in a obscure manuscript.
>>2900516
It looks cool so people want to wear it, nothing strange about that.
>>2900523
yeah but it is such a obscure helmet, I mean, this is the only depiction thath I know of. Isnt exactly detailed.

Why did Tang Dynasty armor have split / dual breastplates? Seems like it would be weaker than just a single plate.

What kind of armor would your typical Viking Age Anglo-Saxon wear?
>>2900696
A hauberk, helm and shield most likely.
>>2900696
Something similar to this layout I imagine
>>2900669

Armors from the Northern Song Wujing Zongyao retained this poncho like design.

I fucking love the armor of warrior saints, yet i really can't find any other depictions of it, most of the times its Krug armor, or what ever they called it.

>>2900661
I find these ones really fucking creepy. Which is probably what they're designed for.
>>2902327
Just a question; what do you think about that a lot of those armours are not in their original country anymore? For example when an armour of a French King is displayed in the MET (New York), whereas the French people who can't afford a trip to New York will never see the object which belongs to their own country. In fact it's stolen from the French people. Should art return to its natural habitat?
