I don't see the stigma of prostitution and wonder how it became associated with "losers." If anything it gives men the agency to not act like sex starved dogs.

In many medieval poems death was seen as welcoming and liberating, often in a pessimist memento mori fashion. Life was seen as short and full of hardships while death was regarded as eternal and peaceful.
